| Here's the trusty companiona nd sidekick of Lone Star, Barf! I started with Porkins, uh, 'cause he's fat. :) First, I removed the hose from his chest and scraped away his chestbox (would've been MUCH easier w/ a Dremel). Then I popped the figure and worked on each piece seperately. Using Sculpey III, I sculpted the hair and ears on the head. I painted a white spot around his left eye and trimmed it with brown. I cured the Sculpey and painted the hair/fur yellow with a brown drybrushing (in retrospect, it probably would have looked better if I had done it in tan w/ a brown drybrushing). That does it for the head, on to the torso. First, I wrapped the upper body in Sculpey to hide the flight suit, and etched in some designs. After curing, I painted the body a mix of tan and white, kind of a beige-ish color. I also painted the arms that way, with the hands being brown and fingertips and knuckles the regular flesh tone (for a cut-up glove look). Next, I covered the leg straps and whatever that boot-thing is w/ Sculpey and cured. I repainted the pants the same washed-out tan color as before, and did the boots in black. Finally, I took a shaving from Yoda I had left over from working on Pic and painted it white, with tan and brown drybrushings near the top. Reassembled the figure (being careful no to crack the Sculpey), and superglued the tail to his butt. |
