Photobucket Materials Needed:
Padme Naberrie - upper arms
Flashback Luke - forearms, head, body
Mick (Xyber9) - hands
Naboo Qui-Gon - skirt
Owen Lars - legs
Slave Leia - ponytail
Sand Person - gaffi stick
Darth Maul - horns (metal knobs on head)
various bits and pieces
Paints - brown, white, grey, tan, silver
This one is one of my favorites but took forever to get done. Get the pieces together (crack open FB Luke's torso for later). Trim down Qui-Gon's skirt. Using Sculpey, add bigger shoulders on the arms. Also, make the mask and goggles (I did it in layers -- first a base layer, then goggles, then mask, etc.). Superglue the arm pieces together, making sure that the articulation in the wrists is intact (I cut the hands off just above the joint nad trimed it to fit). Repaint the entire figure -- brown pants and mask; grey goggles, breather, and knobs; tan shirt, middle-skirt, and forearms; white undershirt, sleeves and side-skirt. Superglue the ponytail to the back of the head. Put the pieces together and superglue the torso back together, making sure the arms and head still move. Sculpt on a flared collar (harder than it sounds!) and cure. Add accessories. I decided to make custom sabers for him as well. I used the first half-dozen pages of "Emissaries to Malastare" for reference. I think there are pieces from Adi Gallia's lightsaber, a handle on Nabrun Leids double-handled blaster, and Naboo Qui-gon's hilt, amongst other pieces (blasters, thread, shavings -- whatever looks right). I really think the accessories make up for my less-than-adequate sculpting abilities. :) Photobucket
