Okay, so we have a young Anakin Jedi in the Naboo Anakin from TPM. In roughly 6 months we'll have an adult Anakin (more-or-less) from AotC. So I wanted to bridge the gap, and between Rogue Planet and Jedi Quest, I had a lot of inspiration. The Jedi Quest comic book was a great help. I strted by popping athe pieces. Then I cut off Adi's boots and trimmed the tops off to make the legs shorter. Then I took the arms from the kid from JP3 and cut off all the details. Then I sculpted on some sleeves (you can't see this in the pictures). Then I filed down the chest of the Adi Galia figure, and sculpted some extra bilk onto the shoulders to blend it in and make it look more like a boy's chest. Next came the head. I started by sanding down his cheeks to make him look older. Then I cut off the little ponytail on the back and sculpted a new hair-cut for him. I am really happy with the way his head turned out. I think it has a nice maturation of Jake Lloyd's face to it. Lastly, I cut a small hole in the belt for the saber nub. I painted his entire outfit tan, his hair brown with a tan drybrushing, his boots brown, and all exposed skin flesh tone. I put everything together, put the saber on the belt, and added the cloak.
