| When the "Fires of Vengeance" contest was announced, I wanted to do something strange and (obviously) very cool looking. I got this Tekken figure in an eBay auction and he was just about the right height for a male Togorian, so I thought, "Why not?" After popping all the pieces, I gave the lower body a totally new paint job: black pants, grey kneepads, black boots, blue-grey shin guards, and grey straps and such. For the body I had to sculpt all the hair on him (a pain). I wanted him to have a vaguely simian look to the body (though he is based on a cat) so I left the chest and stomach mostly bare. I painted the fur tan with several washes of brown. I gave him a little red patch around his left eye, because, you know, "evil." The saber is a nightstick from another Tekken figure that I cut the handle off of. I also used a drill to hollow one end, making the blade removeable. I painted parts of the hilt silver and put red and bluish buttons on. The blade is a length of 1/8th" dow rod painted red. I also have a cloak for him that I'm in the process of finishing, though it might be a while. In the comparison picture, you can really see how HUGE he is! :) |  |
