I love obscure, third-string characters, and since a lot of people haven't read the Junior Jedi Knight books, Uldir here fits that description pretty well. A gret reference picture came with Greg Keyes' short story serial in SW Gamer (#8 I think). It looks like Uldir has an A-Wing pilot's chest box on in the pic, which makes sense because he has custom A-Wings in his ships hold, but I liked the idea of putting him in body armor instead. I took off Qui-Gon's neck/shoulder armor and filled in the top-front part of his body with Sculpy (in fact both the torso and pelvis are casts). I painted the "bodysuit' area dark grey and the armor bits black. The belt is navy blue-grey and brown as are parts of the boots. The sleeves and coat I made black (after trimming the coat to fit), except for the strips down the sleeves. In the reference they are horizontal, but the sleeves already had them as vertical, so I left them. The eyes i made green, and the hair I gave a few washes of black and brown, followed by a light drybrushing of red (it looks awesome in person, but the pix don't really capture it). I gave him a gun, and re-assembled the pieces. Photobucket
