| I've never read the Lando Calrissian trilogy, but I thought the design for this little pilot droid was cool. The pentagonal body was made of Sculpey, with tubular edgings and radiating lines inside. The "arms" are twist ties from any number of figures. I dipped them in latex first to add some bulk. I painted the whole shebang with grey, including the limbs. The edgings and radial lines were painted silver. Finally, I superglued a red craft gem (about medium sized) to the center of the pentagon body. | --This is where the ref. pic. goes. -- |
